I couldn't stay an entire two weeks in Taiwan without posting here that I'M IN TAIWAN. I have laughed and I have cried and I have seen a good portion of family and made sweeping generalizations about urban culture in the nine days I've been here so far. Too bad limited Internet access precludes any meaningful entries for the time being. Plus, it makes no sense for me to be sitting in front of a computer when I do that in the States anyway. So off to lunch (i.e., wandering the streets for a whole five minutes until I find a hole-in-the-wall restaurant serving noodles to die for) and more snooping around with Lonely Planet.
