9. It takes me an insane amount of time to write one email.

7. My hands are always sweaty, and I still bite my nails.

5. It’s getting to be four years since I’ve seen most of my extended family.
4. Part of me always wishes I were in a foreign country.
3. I have to be lying on my right side, in the fetal position, with one hand on either side of the pillow, to fall asleep.
2. Much as I claim to be an outdoors enthusiast, I’m terrible at biking and swimming. (edit: No more!) I also own no Nalgene products and am therefore not a true field biologist.
1. I make $125 a week and think it’s a lot of money.

2. Stop living in mortal fear of the fact that some people won’t like me.
1. Reconcile my career path with community service. I don’t think I could forgive myself if I ever thought studying birds was more important than helping people. And I don’t care if that sounds saccharine; I never want to be like the distinguished birder who, in his quest to see the quetzal of Guatemala, was completely ignorant that the charming Mayans he passed in the rainforest were fleeing a civil war.

FOUR of my favorite items in my bedroom:
I live in a 7-person dorm now, so um…bed, journal, Chapstick and flashlight?

THREE things I do every day:
3. Drive an ATV. Oh, and apply sunscreen.
2. Stare at jays staring at me and hope they're building a nest somewhere.
1. Cook dinner and usurp the crossword.

TWO things I am trying not to do right now:
Revise a paper and fill out a FAFSA for next year, neither of which is urgent.

ONE thing you regret:
I’m with Jess here: At the moment, nothing.
